Jenny was delighted to be invited to present workshops at the 2024 NABSS Conference in Valencia from 7th to 10th March 2024. She has just received the news that she received 100% positive evaluations for for her contribution to the conference – which is so heart-warming.
The forward-looking conference, entitled “Futures”, had an exciting programme of professional development presentations, keynotes and workshops for senior leaders and teachers in the British Schools focusing upon keeping everyone informed and up to date with the latest developments, reforms and trends in education.
Jenny joined a fantastic range of guest speakers, presenters and workshop leaders. Jenny’s workshop ran all day Saturday plus Sunday morning and was for Early Years practitioners. It was entitled:
BUILDING THE COMMUNICATION SKILLS, ORACY, WELLBEING AND CREATIVITY OF YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE ADULTS WHO WORK WITH THEM
The workshop covered how practitioners working with children want to help them build resilience and emotional heath, and to improve their speaking, listening and creativity skills so that they can fully explore their environment and learn how to express themselves clearly.
Jenny introduced her Golden Model and Five Steps that enable early years practitioners to structure a rich and challenging, yet emotionally safe, environment that includes fair boundaries and vibrant circle times.
As ever, Jenny prioritised the idea that to promote self-esteem and self-confidence in others we need to look after ourselves first.
A huge ‘Thank You’ to all those concerned with organising this event!
