I am delighted to be going back to Northern Ireland in early December (2019) to run two very practical and inspiring days of conferences with staff from various schools. The conference days are looking like this and I am very excited about meeting everyone:
- 3rd December 2019 – Promoting Mental Health in Inclusive, Calmer Classrooms in Newtownabbey
- 4th December 2019 – Powerfully Positive Lunchtimes and Playtimes in Newtownabbey
The first day – Promoting Mental Health – will be looking at how teachers can promote Positive Learning Communities. This will involve encouraging children to take responsibility for their own behaviour and relationships and Jenny will be putting the wellbeing of both children and teachers at the heart of her ideas and strategies. There will be a chance for delegates to observe Jenny working with children, and to ask questions during a feedback session.
On the second day I will be promoting all the fabulous ideas to make lunchtimes and playtimes calm and happy with active, engaged children.
I have already taken my whole school approaches to Northern Ireland several times before, working in several schools there over the years. I had enjoyed working schools for children with special needs and in mainstream primarys too. One year I worked with parents in circles too which was fantastic.
