Yesss! Our new catalogue 2016!
We are sooo thrilled with our new 2016 catalogue – hot off the press, full of brilliant ideas and about to land on desks! DO look out for it – you can spot it by the bright new cover.
Our despatch department has been busier than ever the last few months and that is how we know we are getting the resources spot on for schools who just keep coming back. Our new Dining Halls and playground resources are going down a storm as research backs up the benefits of creating calm, organised and healthy lunchtimes and schools in England realise that Ofsted are now looking at Dining Halls and playgrounds as part of their inspection.
There are so many products that I would like to tell you about but, for now, here are just a few but please do browse the catalogue when it arrives and the webshop anytime!
Dining Halls
On the menu in the Dining Hall, we have Jenny’s best-selling ‘How to Create Calm Dining Halls‘ book, Dining Hall Helper Hats and Aprons, and our colourful, fun Dining Hall Posters also really help to set the tone for a positive dining hall with helpful behaviour and an enjoyable lunch.
Playground Zoning
So, we are shouting from the roof tops about Zone Managers. Zone managers are children who help Lunchtime and Play Supervisors by applying for the role of Zone Manager for the zone they most enjoy. At their interview, they are asked for some good ideas or extra games to play within the zone of their choice. They can help to put out the equipment and bring it in again at the end and to be a treasure in the mean time. Schools usually have teams of Zone Managers for each zone so that they can all share the roles and have, maybe one week on and two weeks off. Zone Managers have a very different role to play than Playground Friends who support friendship and fun. Doesn’t he look smart?
So, how do children identify the zones? Our zone signs are a great way of clearly laying out your play area to make the most of the space and to help stop children trying to play incompatible games within the same space. We have a great collection of signs and have just added twelve more zones!
Basketball Zone, Bouncy Toys Zone, Tennis Zone, Four Square Zone, Gymnastics Zone, Organised Games Zone, Hopscotch Zone, Bikes and Scooters Zone, Sport of the Week Zone, Football Zone, Together Zone, Role Play Zone.
These resources all fit brilliantly with our Playground Games books – specifically designed to be light and easy to carry in a pocket for anyone supervising play and playgrounds.
Playground Game Cards
So, for those children who would love to learn a new game, verse or sequence, we have some fabulous Playground Games Cards for Skipping, Clapping Wet Playtimes and Clapping Games. Children can use them themselves or with help. So brilliant for developing bodies and brains, these cards bring a wealth of activities to get children moving, thinking and to get different parts of the brain working together. Unmissable opportunities for children that, let’s face it, computer games just cannot deliver.
